China Intensifies Tug of War With India on Nepal

On one hand, Nepalese TV news is broadcasting that "Nepal is out of finals" and on the other hand as per cricinfo.com Nepal reaches finals and promoted to Division 4. As per cricinfo.com, USA, Nepal and Singapore were tied at 8 points each. As the points are tied by comparing the run rates of these three teams USA topped the group with the net run rate of + 1.371 and Nepal following with +1.351 and Singapore becomes third with +1.347.
Today Nepal lost to USA by 5 wickets in the game played at Kirtipur. Nepal decided to bat first after winning the toss, which seemed wrong as the ball started swinging in the morning. Nepal lost quick wickets once again. In the allotted 50 overs, Nepal was able to score only 162 losing 9 wickets.
Chasing a modest total of 163, USA reaches 150 for 5 wickets in 31 overs. At this score, fore-sighting Nepal's loss the crowd turned violent. They attacked the field with stones and plastic bottles. Police took control of the situation by using power. Umpires changed the target to 157 in 46 overs due to loss of time by this incident. USA reached the target easily in 33.3 overs.
In the other games that took place, Jersey scored 192 runs for 9 wickets in allotted 50 overs. Chasing 193 to win Singapore scored 193 runs by losing 3 wickets in 26 overs only.
In the third game, Bahrain scored 276 runs for 9 wickets in allotted 50 overs. Chasing 277 to win Fiji was all out for 181 runs in 39.3 overs.
