INDIA, SL, BANGLA WITHDRAW FROM PAK GOLF TOURNEY
Lahore, Mar 18 (PTI)
National Amateur Championship, the biggest golf event in Pakistan, has been hit by eleventh hour withdrawals of India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka due to security concern in the wake of March 12 terror attack that killed 45 people and left 100 others injured here.
The tournament, beginning Thursday, was to be contested by the golfers from the three countries besides top Pakistanis.

Just a run behind the West Indies Cricketer Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum scored the second highest runs in ICC Twenty20 international with 116 runs in 56 balls. The New Zealand team was able to score 214 for 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs as Brendon McCullum smashed boundaries in all the part of the field at Christchurch.

As per cricinfo.com, USA, Nepal and Singapore were tied at 8 points each. As the points are tied by comparing the run rates of these three teams USA topped the group with the net run rate of + 1.371 and Nepal following with +1.351

Nepali spinners put up a great bowling performance to stop Bahrain for a modest total of 114. Chasing the target of 115, Nepal started with a bleak performance. In 2.1 overs, Nepal had lost both the openers. After that a dazzling performance by the captain Paras Khadka and with his partner Shakti Gauchan secured an easy win. Both of them put an unbeaten 107 run partnership in which Paras contributed 71* runs and Shakti 29* runs.

Nepal puts an impressive game as they beat Singapore by 16 runs in ICC Division 5 game hosted at Pulchowk Campus. Nepal had won thetoss and elected to bat, they scored 180 runs for 9 wickets in the alloted 50 overs match. Basanta Regmi from Nepal hit 54 runs, while Sharad Vesawkar scored 32 runs and Shakti Gauchan with 24 runs. Dharmichand took 3 wickets and Janjua took 2 wickets for Singapore.

Pakistan scored 129 for 8 in their alloted 20 overs against England in the first 20/20 match played in Dubai. For Pakistan, skipper Shoaib Malik scored 33 runs in 26 balls, Fawad Alam scored 23 runs at a ball and Abdur Razzaq scored 22 runs in 15 balls. At one stage Pakistan were 39 for 4 in 8.3 overs. But by their effots Pakistan reaches 129 a respectable score.
