FRANCE RULES OUT OPENING EMBASSY IN N.KOREA
TOKYO, March 18 (AFP)
France will not open diplomatic relations with North Korea but plans to establish an office there to support non-governmental groups, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said Thursday.
"We are not going to open an embassy, certainly not," Kouchner said at a press conference in Tokyo. "Open an office, yes, in order to help the NGOs (non-governmental organisations) there."

EX-PRESIDENTS GEORGE W. BUSH, CLINTON TO VISIT HAITI

NO SURGICAL STRIKE ON TERROR CAMPS IN PAK, SAYS MOS RAJU

India Thursday ruled out the possibility of any surgical strike on terror camps inside Pakistan, but asserted that adequate measures would be taken to ensure its interests are protected.
"No, no," Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju, said when asked about the possibility of surgical strikes on terror camps inside the neighbouring country.

Torrential rain causes death toll to rise to 38
Kathmandu, 21 Feb. (Dainikee)
The death toll has risen to about 40 people after torrential flood and nudslides on the island of Madeira, Portugal with more than 120 injured and unknown number of others missing as per the authorities, adding that the death toll is expected to rise.
After heavy rain in the capital of Funchal on Saturday, the streets turned into raging rivers of mud, water and debris.

Plane crashes in Texas IRS Office

53 year old, Andrew Joseph Stack slammed Piper Cherokee plane into the seven-story building of the Inland Revenue Service at Austin, Texas at around 9.40 am local time. The accident is believed to be a suicide attempt after a long tax dispute.
“Violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer,” was posted in the IRS’s website signed as Joe Stack, the man named as pilot.

US President Obama meets Dalai Lama

Taliban´s top military commander in custody

Mullah Abdul Ghani Barader, supposedly the Taliban's second in command was captured in Karachi, Pakistan after a secret joint operation of the Pakistani and US intelligence forces, according to a report in the New York Times.
Mullah Barader's capture is believed to be one of the most significant catch since the American led war in Afghanistan started more than eight years ago.
