Prime Minister Gordon Brown has accused for manhandling and attacking his staffs. Yesterday, the staffs had contacted the anti bullying helpline to report the verbal bullying by the Prime Minister. National Bullying Helpline run by Christine Pratt reported that there were three to four calls already from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Fists and fights at the NC central office

The central office of the Nepali Congress (NC) at Sanepa sparked with fistfights as some of the district committee members turned the office into a battle zone on Wednesday afternoon.
The recent appointments of members in Okhaldhunga, Nuwakot and Sankhusabha led to dissatisfaction among a group of NC cadres resulting in attacks over the party’s vice-president Prakash Man Singh.

PLA integration needed before the new statute

Most of the parties reiterated that the UCPN-Maoist combatants must be integrated prior to the promulgation of the new constitution. 22 parties of the government have also agreed to finalize the rehabilitation process of the combatants some 15 days prior to the declaration of the new constitution.

Only 5,000 Maoist guerrilla can be integrated in the army:PM

Nepal’s Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that national army cannot absorb more than 5,000 former Maoist guerrillas.
The prime minister’s remarks comes at a time when some leaders of his own party, Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and a key coalition partner Nepali Congress argue that politically indoctrinated Maoist combatants cannot be integrated into the national army.

Pakistani Foreign Secretary Bashir arriving tomorrow

Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir is arriving in Nepal on Saturday to hold bilateral consultations with his Nepali counterpart Gyan Chandra Acharya, says a release from Pakistan embassy.
According to Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmanu, during their meeting in Kathmandu, the two Foreign Secretaries would review Pakistan-Nepal political and economic relations.
