Nepal´s turmoil won´t stop peace:PM

The political turmoil that has roiled Nepal in recent weeks will not stop its peace process from moving forward, the country's prime minister said Saturday, adding that the former Maoist guerrillas still must prove that they are committed to negotiations.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State visits Nepal
Kathmandu, 12 June(Dainikee)
The United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake arrived in Nepali capital Kathmandu on Friday on a two-day official visit to Nepal.
During his visit, Blake will meet with President Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala, and opposition leader and former Prime Minister Prachanda.

Nepal´s first woman deputy PM passes away
Kathmandu, 12 June (Dainikee)
Former Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress leader Shailaja Acharya, 67, passed away at around 4.25 on Friday morning early on Friday after a long battle with Alzheimer's and pneumonia.
The 67-year-old, who came from one of the most politically active families of Nepal, had been admitted to the Teaching Hospital here on Wednesday after receiving treatment earlier in New Delhi and Bangkok.

Japanese foreign minister congrats Suzata

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Hirofumi Nakasone has congratulated Suzata Koirala for becoming foreign Minister of Nepal.

Tens in Birgunj, seven injured

Seven people are injured in Birjunj after clash between two groups of Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum .
The central committee meeting of Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum’s is underway in Birgunj. The meeting is called by Upedra Yadav.
MPRF leaders claimed that 26 of the 35 Central Committee members are present in the meeting which is chaired by Chairman Yadav.

Royal Family Still Missed Even after Nine Years of Massacre

Nepalese have witnessed the completion of ninth year of the loss of King Birendra and his family. Eight years ago massacre occurred at the family dinner organized at Royal Palace Narayanhiti at night of 19th Jestha 2058. This royal massacre took life of King Birendra and other ten members of royal family and leaving several others injured.

U.N. Envoy Arrives In Nepal
Kathmandu, 10 June (Dainikee)
A top United Nations envoy arrived here Tuesday for a six-day visit.
During the visit, Samuel Tamrat, director for Asia and the Pacific in the Department of Political Affairs, will meet with key politicians to discuss the ongoing peace process, army integration and extension of the U.N. Mission in Nepal.
The envoy has already met with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
